Rarissimo File Compression with NTFS for FTP - Site License
Creation of compressed files packing data and streams for use with a standard FTP not only Mac specific. It automatically builds sequential compressed filenames stored in target transit folder waiting for transfer via FTP or email. Initial Macintosh structures, filenames and NTFS Windows 2000 files properties are recovered during uncompression in destination drives. This secures a transit via a non NTFS drive without loosing specific ressources.

NTFS compression tool companion of WinRar that will periodically scan source folders, creates candidates for ftp send with normalized filenames like RA0000001.rar into target folder waiting for transfer. In reception location it uncompress restoring Macintosh structures and filenames and Windows 2000 files with properties (Title, Subject, Comments, Keywords, etc.). Compressed files keep their data fork, resource fork and Finder information.

A Windows app which automatically prepares Macintosh filenames for Windows removing illegal characters and adding extensions using a conversion table.
Optionally as a Windows service it regularly scans and replaces characters allowed by Macintosh but forbidden in windows file names. Stored on Mac volumes of NT/2000/XP servers, the truncate to 31 characters function allows to view these files from Macintosh more friendly than DOS shortnames.
